Painting Workshops with Donna Dewberry

My friends Donna & Lori came up earlier in the month from Florida so that Donna could teach a couple of workshops in Warner Robins, GA.  My friend Charlie got to come over from North Carolina too and although we didn't have much down time to spend together it was great seeing her!  I couldn't have done it without Charlie and Pat. A. from Atlanta - they helped me set up at each location and were such a HUGE help! Thank you ladies!!!
We had such a great time with three full events!!

Thursday we painted at the Cow & Calf Art Gallery at the Peach Shops of Byron and Donna taught everyone how to paint this sweet heart vine wreath with flowers.
Friday and Saturday workshops were held at Hobby Lobby and although tight on space we had a great time.  The folks at Hobby Lobby are so awesome to me and I feel like when I hold these events there it's a way of saying thank you to them too as I know these attendees will drop some money in the store - usually getting their pieces framed! Donna and Lori said they walked by the framing section and saw a sea of landscapes after the Sat. workshop - would have loved a picture of that!  They all looked awesome framed!

Here are some snapshots from our events.

Have a great day!

What's on the easel now?
Surprised! I'm sure you're not!
Hydrangeas - one of my favorite flowers and favorite things to paint!

What's on the easel - I have been painting hyrdangeas with oils and loving the way they are turning out. I'd love for there to be more texture but I also love the softness they have when looking at it in person.  Have some highlights to add and think I'll call it finished!

So glad that the rain has stopped! It was nice that I didn't have to go anywhere the last couple days ~ just stayed at home and worked, painted, and cleaned!  Oh, a played just a few games of online scrabble ~ my new addiction! Steven and I used to get out the board game nightly years agao and then just stopped ~ got busy I guess ~ not even sure where it is now.

Back to working, painting, and cleaning! Boys are today with haircuts, rocking on their guitars and hanging with friends!

Stay warm and have a great day! Counting the days til SUMMER!
Blessings,
Sandy
